let me know what your impressions of Lux are.

Based on my few games with her last night, i feel she's primarily a support champion. Her skillshot would be best used to break up people who 'dive' onto someone in our backline. Her W ability also would be great to counteract AOE damage when our own team dives on one of theirs.

I dont see this character filling the shoes of annie/kassadin/anivia/veigar. The damage output is simply not reliable enough in my eyes, and her AP scaling is not really that good, even on her ULT (compare to morgannas ult which at WORST is 1:1, and is 2:1 if you get off both ticks)

My problem generally with having lux as support though is that i think there are better support champions available.

Lux excels with her shield in a specific scenario, (team is bunched up and eating aoes) -- However crowd control (especially reliable crowd control, such as Sona's Crescendo) is imho more preferable to lux's shield. Also i'd prefer to have healing over a shield in most cases.

I think Sona and morganna both are better support characters than Lux, and i also think that they generally bring more damage and utility as well. The one dimension that lux beats both of them is finishing runners with her ult. I'm not sure if this reason alone is enough to warrant her place in a competitive build.

in pretty much every instance I seeing her being useful, I'd rather have Morgana, Janna or Sona.
